A LEGACY OF CREATING BETTER FUTURES!

In 1959, a group of dedicated Ocala parents, whose children had intellectual and developmental disabilities, took the courageous step towards creating a better future.

With the establishment of the New Hope School for Children back in 1959, their vision became a reality. Their noble mission lives on today, as we proudly continue their legacy here at The Arc of Marion for adults 18 years and older.

Over the decades of our history, branding and affiliations have changed, but our mission and vision has always remained the same. In September 2019, the ARC Marion Board of Directors made a significant decision to reaffiliate with both The Arc of Florida as well as the national chapter. This move paved the way for our current identity as The Arc of Marion, along with our recent change in branding.
