About Miriam Mishkin
Miriam Mishkin is a compassionate leader who inspires courageous conversations and strategically plans head-focused and heart-centered initiatives, in a collaborative environment. Miriam is the Co-Owner and Head of Human Resources and Risk at Artemis Plastics since the company opened in 2014 in Ocala, FL. This includes staffing, inspiring, engaging, training, and coaching the Artemis Family, and insuring and growing the company. Artemis Plastics is a full-service contract manufacturer specializing in the production and assembly of injection molded plastic components, serving domestic and international medical, industrial, and consumer markets.
Artemis Plastics’ core values are built around Quality, Collaboration, and Trust. Our goal is to deliver high-quality products and services. Therefore, we follow international quality standards, hold both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certifications, and are FDA Registered. Our team collaborates internally and externally to offer the best solutions for our customers’ projects. We work diligently to earn each other’s trust, and more importantly our customers’ trust. Our attention to detail, ability to set clear expectations, and capability to manage projects, allow us to attain mutually agreed upon milestones quickly.
In 2018, Artemis Plastics was recognized by the economic development group, GrowFL, with a “Florida Company To Watch” Award for its high performance, growth, and innovation in the marketplace. The company obtained such growth because they provide quality products and build meaningful customer relationships.
Artemis Plastics received the prestigious 2019 Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence Award. Finalists were chosen for exhibiting excellence in 6 categories: leadership; strategic planning; customers; measurement; analysis and knowledge management, workforce; and operations.
Miriam has served on the MRMA Board of Directors since September 2020 and serves on the Marketing Subcommittee.
With an MBA in Organizational Development and Entrepreneurship and a BS in Economics, Miriam enjoys seeing the big picture, sharing that vision, and building processes and culture to leverage organizational alignment and set up her people for success.
As a former Management Consultant, she oversaw the strategic development of many new start-ups, coached new leaders to identify and grow their personal-, and their company’s- biggest strengths, offered ways to build overall reporting structures, scorecards, and round out their teams to build complementary competencies.
With a background in product development and risk management, Miriam has a proven track record of being able to see and articulate the high-level functions and drilling down to the front-line of an organization to design quality into the processes and products, while managing costs and risks appropriately. She believes that “A rising tide lifts all boats” and works hard to ensure her teams know how much their contributions impact the company and its customers.
In her spare time, Miriam is a mom of two and teaches Parent Encouragement Program classes. She is involved in building and supporting ShareMyJourney.org, an online community and support network that was instrumental in helping thousands of people and companies with various professional and personal development needs worldwide through the pandemic and beyond.
