Sam Ajlani is the Program Director, Engineering Technology | Business, Technology and Workforce at the College of Central Florida. He has an MSE Engineering Management (Industrial and Systems Engineering) from the University of Florida. Sam worked in industry as a technician and contractor while completing his bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He has over 30 years in manufacturing working as a Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor for Production, Division Engineer, and Corporate Project Engineer. He began his educational career in 2000 and earned his master’s degree in the process. He has been the Program Manager at CF since 2014. He developed the program from about 23 students to a level of almost 200 students.
In 2017 he was the FLATE Post-Secondary Educator of the Year. In 2021 Sam became one of only a handful of instructors to earn the College of Central Florida’s Gabor Award for outstanding faculty. Sam also set up a FANUC Authorized Satellite Training (FAST) center at the College of Central Florida.
Engineering Technology Program: The Engineering Technology program will prepare students for a variety of high-paying high-tech careers including maintenance technicians in manufacturing, assistant engineers, project supervisors, traffic engineers, water/waste-water technicians, maintenance supervisor/managers, and quality technician/supervisors. Many graduates continue their education by obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science degree. By pursuing an Engineering Technology degree, students learn how to apply practical engineering principles. It will also provide them with clear, progressive steps toward meeting their educational and career goals.
